Brazilian President and candidate for reelection Jair Bolsonaro has voted this Sunday in the second round of the Brazilian presidential elections, in which he is competing with former president and leftist candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Bolsonaro has exercised his right to vote in the Villa Militar neighborhood of Rio e Janeiro minutes after 8.00 a.m. (12.00 a.m. in the Spanish peninsular), according to the Brazilian press.
Bolsonaro arrived at the polling station at 7.50 a.m. wearing a green and yellow T-shirt – the colors of the Brazilian flag – and greeted several supporters who were waiting for him in front of the educational center and avoided the press.
After voting, Bolsonaro went to Galeao Airport to receive the Flamengo team, champions of the Copa Libertadores in the final played on Saturday. He will then return to Brasilia, to the Alborada Palace, with his family and advisors to follow the election day.
