Polish authorities have seized premises in the village of Skubianka, on the outskirts of the country’s capital, Warsaw, that the Russian Embassy in the country had been renting since the 1980s.
This was confirmed Wednesday by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Syraka, who said that the premises had been seized by employees of the Forestry Department, according to TASS.
Syraka also informed that the authorities are now conducting an inventory and carrying out a technical assessment of the premises.
Following these operations, the Polish representative acknowledged his willingness to propose «new options» for the use of the recreational facility in question in the future.
Poland is one of the leading Western countries that, in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, has curbed Russian influence in the country, and has even removed a large part of the Soviet monuments in the public space.
