Dozens of followers of Jair Bolsonaro continue for the fourth consecutive day camped in the south zone of Sao Paulo in front of the doors of one of the headquarters of the Army, which is asked between prayers to intervene militarily after the defeat of the far-right in the Brazilian elections, while in Santa Catarina they swear the flag under the Nazi salute.

«As long as the enemy is not defeated we will not get out of here. As long as we do not achieve victory, we will not let go of our hands,» said one of these people referring to the slogan used during the defeat of the left in the 2018 elections.

These people are camped specifically in front of the gates of the headquarters of the Southeast Military Command, in the south zone of Sao Paulo, a state where there still continue to be roads blocked by these anti-democratic movements, which openly call for a coup d’état.

There have been very controversial images of these demonstrators, who in some cases have used minors to carry out their acts of protest. This is the case of three children in a municipality of Santa Catarina, who, wearing masks of Lula and Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes, have been driven around in a vehicle pretending to be imprisoned, reports the portal G1.

This is already being investigated, as well as a possible case of negligence of some parents who placed their underage children as shields during the road blockades in the municipalities of Itajaí and Itapema, also in the state of Santa Catarina.

It is in Santa Catarina, a state located in southern Brazil where Bolsonaro won more than 69 percent of the vote, where a crowd of several dozen people have also been seen doing the Nazi salute while swearing the flag. The state Prosecutor’s Office has announced that it has launched an investigation, tells the newspaper ‘O Globo’.

Although Bolsonaro himself asked his supporters to lift the blockades on Wednesday, hundreds of his followers have gathered in several areas of the country to continue protesting the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who from now on will have the challenge of leading a country with 58 million Bolsonaro voters and a Congress with a conservative majority.

Almost twenty states, with more than 100 blockades, have registered protests and mobilizations since Lula’s victory in Sunday’s elections. Many local governments have had to mobilize the Military Police due to the alleged inaction of the Highway Police, on which the Federal Government, still in Bolsonaro’s hands, depends.
