At least three people have been killed and six wounded in alleged attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on territory of the Donetsk region, annexed in September by Russia, as denounced Thursday by the authorities installed by Moscow as part of the invasion.

The Donetsk Territorial Defense has detailed in a message on its Telegram account that Ukrainian troops have carried out during this period of time artillery and mortar attacks on eleven «settlements», causing damage to «civilian infrastructure».

He has also called on the population to «use only verified information from official sources». «Be careful, do not succumb to the panic whipped up by third-party information channels and use verified data,» he said.

Moscow reported the annexation of both Donetsk and neighboring Lugansk and the Kherson and Zaporiyia regions after a series of accession consultations that yielded overwhelming results in favor of joining Russia, although they were flatly rejected by the international community, which considers this step illegal.
