The vice-president of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, has assured on Monday that his party supports the dialogue process «with whomever and whenever».
«To us, dialogue does not scare us, it does not scare us away. President Nicolás Maduro has always called for dialogue, political spaces must not only be taken care of, but defended,» said Cabello during the weekly press conference of the PSUV.
«Sitting down to dialogue with the opposition does not mean that we are capitulating, it does not mean that we want to surrender, no. That is not contemplated anywhere, our position is very clear and firm in this sense,» he has explained.
In this line, the Venezuelan politician has indicated that from Caracas they give the «welcome to dialogue as many times as necessary». «We have the resources that they would like to have are materials that they require to continue living at the expense of the countries that have less», he added.
Diosdado has made these statements after the Venezuelan Executive agreed to dialogue with France. However, he criticized that after this meeting the European Union «decided to continue with absurd sanctions against Venezuelans».
«We respect so that they respect us, we do not interfere in anyone’s internal affairs. However, it makes no sense to talk about anything if they continue to sanction Venezuela», he criticized before pointing out that this is «imperial hatred».
«They should assume that everything they have been doing against Venezuela is a mistake, but their imperial arrogance does not give them that. They consider themselves superior, they believe that others should be subordinate to them», the PSUV vice-president asserted.
