Paul Pelosi, husband of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has reappeared publicly for the first time since he was attacked at his home in late October.

Paul, who attended with his wife this Sunday the Kennedy Center Honors –awarded by the U.S. government for excellence in cultural achievement–, appeared wearing a hat and a glove, covering the areas of the body where he received the wounds from the attacker, reports ‘The Hill’.

Pelosi, 82, was hospitalized for a week, due to serious injuries to her right arm and hands, as well as a fractured skull, when a person entered her home looking for the president of the U.S. Congress.

The official police version states that Pelosi’s assailant, David DePape, entered the family home in San Francisco with the intention of taking the Speaker of the House hostage, confronting her husband, who, after being hit with a hammer, had to undergo surgery.

DePape’s Internet records describe him as a person prone to indulging in conspiracy theories on a wide variety of topics, from aliens, communism, Jews, voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election and other types of conspiracies embraced by the U.S. right-wing extremists.
