
The Cambodian authorities have informed on Friday that they will train military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the next January to remove anti-personnel mines in the framework of the Russian invasion of the Ukrainian territory.
The Cambodian Foreign Ministry said that the Cambodian experts will work in Nom Pen, the capital, with about fifteen members of the Ukrainian Army, to whom they will transfer their experience in demining.
«Cambodia values peace and stability. We try to do our best to help other countries that are suffering from wars. We will give technical training and share our experiences with fifteen experts and senior officials,» he said, as reported by the ‘Phnom Penh Post’ newspaper.
On December 13, Prime Minister Hun Sen attended a solidarity conference with the Ukrainian people held in France. During the conference, he shared the country’s experience of armed conflicts and its peace process.
«Hun Sen stressed the importance of the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also expressed his solidarity and stood by the Ukrainian people at a difficult time in the face of a destructive war,» he said.
