
Switzerland announced Friday that, in line with the latest sanctions issued by the European Union against Russia, it is joining them and will apply restrictions to limit the prices of Russian oil and oil products.
The Swiss authorities have detailed through a statement that Switzerland, «in response to Russia’s continued military aggression and its destabilizing actions in Ukraine, will also endorse the European Union sanctions of December 3 imposing limitations on the prices and transportation of Russian oil.
Last December 8, and as part of these restrictions to which it has been adding since the beginning of the war almost ten years ago, Switzerland already set a maximum price for Russian crude oil at $60 per barrel.
Likewise, two individuals and two other entities of Iranian origin were sanctioned by the Swiss authorities for allegedly supporting the Russian side during the hostilities through the development and delivery of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles.
