Russian authorities in Ukraine’s disputed Lugansk region in the east of the country have reported at least three civilians killed during the last few hours by Ukrainian shelling.
The attack took place specifically in the town of Shchastya and was carried out with U.S.-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems.
At least five people have been wounded and at least four houses have been destroyed, according to the Russian authorities in Lugansk on their Telegram account.
Russia has also reported at least 31 Ukrainian shelling attacks on neighboring Donetsk, also in the east of the country, which have killed at least one person and wounded seven others, according to Russia’s TASS news agency.
This toll follows a day of heavy shelling across much of the country.
The Ukrainian authorities, it should be recalled, have denounced the launching of almost a hundred Russian rockets against several regions, in particular Dnipropetrovsk, where at least four people were killed and 13 wounded in an attack on the town of Krivói Rog.
