The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, on Tuesday paid a visit to the city of Bajmut, located in the Donetsk region (east), from where he praised the «heroic» struggle of the Ukrainian forces to repel the advance of the Russian army, which has suffered «about 100,000» dead since the beginning of the invasion.

«Bajmut is the hottest point on the entire front, which is 1,300 kilometers of active hostilities. Since May, the occupiers have been trying to break into our Bajmut, but time is passing and Bajmut is breaking not only the Russian Army, but the Russian mercenaries who came to replace the losses among the occupiers,» he has noted in a message on his Telegram account.

Thus, he has stated that «Russia has already lost more than 99,000 soldiers in Ukraine» and added that «inside the casualties among the occupiers will be 100,000.» «For what, no one in Moscow can answer this question, and they will not. They conduct war and waste human lives, those of others, not their loved ones, not their own lives, but those of others because a group in the Kremlin cannot recognize mistakes and is afraid of reality,» he has maintained.

«Reality speaks for itself,» Zelensky has reviewed, who has emphasized that «every day of heroic resistance on the part of the defense forces, of all the people, brings closer the moment when all Ukraine will be able to feel victory and peace.» «This cruelty will give nothing to the enemy,» the Ukrainian president concluded.

For its part, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army on Tuesday put the number of Russian servicemen killed in combat at «about 99,230», including 430 «liquidated» during the last 24 hours. It also said that 2,995 tanks, 1,960 artillery systems, 212 anti-aircraft defense systems and 410 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed.

He also said in a message on his Facebook social network account that 281 aircraft, 266 helicopters, 1,680 drones, 653 cruise missiles, 16 ships and 4,599 vehicles and fuel tanks have also been destroyed. «The data is being updated. Hit the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,» he has remonstrated.

U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley claimed on Nov. 10 that Russia has suffered «more than 100,000» casualties, including military dead and wounded, as part of the invasion of Ukraine, before adding that the numbers among the Ukrainian ranks «are probably similar.»
