
Russian authorities announced Monday the death of four «saboteurs» who attempted to cross the border from Ukraine in the Bryansk region, with no further details about the incident at this time.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) has indicated that the incident took place on Sunday and stated that «four saboteurs who tried to enter the territory of the Bryansk region from Ukraine were killed in clashes.»
It also said that weapons, ammunition, communication and sabotage systems and material for carrying out «acts of sabotage and terrorism», including explosives, were seized after the operation, as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax.
Bryansk and other Russian regions located on the border have been the scene of attacks attributed to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the framework of the invasion of Ukraine, unleashed on February 24 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
