Ukrainian presidential aide Andrei Yermak reported Tuesday on his Telegram profile that Russian troops have shelled a maternity ward of a hospital in the Kherson region (south), without any casualties.
The attack has also been confirmed by Health Minister Viktor Liashko, who added on his Facebook profile that a baby was born «a few minutes before» the shells shattered one of the walls of the maternity ward.
Liashko confirmed that neither babies nor hospital staff were injured. Another shelling in mid-morning resulted in damage to a company building near a kindergarten, Ukrinform news agency has reported.
On the other hand, at least one life was claimed in a shelling of a building in the town of Oleshki in Kherson, which also resulted in several injuries, the town’s mayor, Yevhen Rischuk, said.
The day before, the Russian army attacked at least eleven times different points in Kherson, as stated by the head of the regional military administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich, and reported by the UNIAN news agency.
