Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has assured that Moscow is being subjected to a declared «war» by the West already since 2014 when the «coup d’état in Ukraine» orchestrated by Washington took place.
Lavrov has told that that the West led by the nuclear power of the United States «is at war» with Russia, especially since 2014, when Washington, with the support of Europe, maneuvered to oust Viktor Yanukovych from the Ukrainian presidency, according to the excerpt of an interview broadcast by Channel One.
In that sense, he explained that the situation worsened after the breach of the Minsk agreements, which, he said, «nobody was going to apply», citing a recent interview of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, for ‘Die Zeit’, in which she acknowledged that that pact served to strengthen Ukraine.
