The head of the Andorran government, Xavier Espot, has assured this Saturday that «there is no need for a radical change that compromises the economic growth and the good trajectory of the country».
In an institutional message at the end of the year reported by Europa Press, the Andorran leader said that what is needed is «a constant work to put growth on track and to compensate the imbalances and inequalities».
«This constant work also requires the capacity to plan what can be foreseen and to know how to react to the unforeseeable», Espot defended.
He insisted that Andorra «does not need a radical change of model», after which he defended his confidence in the creative capacity of Andorran people, companies and institutions, and considers that everyone should have tools and their own vital and professional project.
In addition, he argued that despite being at the end of the legislature, the General Council and the Government «are working to compensate the imbalances of economic growth and that wealth reaches all people».
«GOOD ROLE»
He stressed that Andorra is «playing a good role» in the current context marked by the energy crisis and after the pandemic crisis.
Espot made a positive assessment of the Andorran economy in this context, and stressed that it is «one of the fastest growing in Europe as a whole».
«We cannot be satisfied with just the big figures or the big statistical variables», recognized the president, who assured that the Government will continue to work towards 2023 for a prosperous, open and supportive Andorra.
