Russian authorities on Friday claimed to have prevented a terrorist attack in the North Caucasus Federal District and stressed that the suspect received orders from Ukrainian special services.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) has indicated that the detainee is a Ukrainian citizen who supports «nationalist ideologies» and who entered the country with a work permit. It has also said that «terrorist materials» have been seized, without giving further details.
The agency stressed that the suspect has confessed his role in these plans and added that the authorities have opened criminal proceedings against the man, whose identity has not been revealed, as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax.
