Ukrainian authorities claimed Friday to have intercepted five Iranian-made drones over the skies above the capital, Kiev, and stressed that «the enemy continues to carry out massive air strikes» against the city.
«After yesterday’s missile attack, which did not result in results for the aggressor, tonight the capital has suffered the attack of Iranian ‘Shahed’ drones,» the Kiev Military Administration said. «Five enemy drones were detected in Kiev airspace. The air defense forces destroyed all the targets,» it has added.
Thus, it has highlighted in a message on Telegram that «one of the munitions of a ‘Shahed’ hit an administrative district in Holosiiv district, partially destroying it and causing broken windows in a nearby residential building.» Finally, he stated that there are no reports of casualties for now.
Ukraine has repeatedly accused Iran of delivering drones to Russia for use in the war, something denied by Tehran. Earlier this week, the head of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohamad Hosein Baqeri, called these claims «psychological warfare».
