Ukrainian President Volidimir Zelensky assured on Friday that his Armed Forces are holding their positions on most of the Donbas front, and that there are even points where they are advancing «little by little».

After a meeting with the Ukrainian military high command, Zelensky acknowledged that the «main» areas of confrontation are now the Donetsk and Lugansk region, especially in the towns of Bajmut, Soledar and Kremina, reports UNIAN.

In a speech broadcast on video, the Ukrainian president took the opportunity to highlight the efforts of the Ukrainian military in defending every inch of the territory since the outbreak of the war at the end of February.

On the other hand, President Zelensky assured that in 2022 Ukraine has not only preserved its air defense, but has managed to strengthen it «more than ever», and he also predicted that next year this trend will be consolidated, according to Ukrinform.

«In the new year, Ukrainian air defense will be even stronger, even more effective. Ukrainian air defense may become the most powerful in Europe, and this will be a guarantee of security not only for our state, but for the whole continent,» he noted.
