Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky delivered his last speech of the year on Saturday, in which he lamented the casualties caused by the latest wave of Russian attacks and warned that «no one in the world will forgive» Russia for the «terror» caused this 2022.
«The terrorist state will not be forgiven. And those who have ordered these attacks and those who have perpetrated them will not be forgiven,» Zelenski has stressed, hours after Ukraine again suffered a hail of missiles that has left at least one fatality in the capital, Kiev.
They are «missiles against people», as Zelenski emphasized, who regretted that Moscow does not understand holidays. Although «they call themselves Christians», they are «following the devil», added the Ukrainian president.
In his opinion, the conflict only derives from «one person trying to remain in power until the end of his life», in allusion to the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin. In this sense, he appealed directly to the Russian population: «Your leader wants to make it seem that the troops support him, but he only hides behind them».
«He hides and burns your country and your future. No one will ever forgive terror. No one in the world will ever forgive this. Ukraine will never forgive,» he sentenced.
