
Ukrainian military authorities claimed Wednesday to have destroyed a headquarters of Russian forces in the town of Tokmak in Zaporiyia, causing some 80 casualties, including dead and wounded, a day after Moscow confirmed the death of 89 of its soldiers in Makivka, Kherson.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces said that as a result of the January 3 bombardment of these facilities at least 80 casualties were caused among the Russian ranks, although it did not specify the number of wounded and dead. During that day there were about fifteen attacks on the area.
In the last days Ukraine has intensified its air offensives against Russian military positions and installations in the east of the country which have been partially occupied during the invasion.
On Tuesday, Moscow acknowledged having lost 89 soldiers after the bombing of the locality of Makivka, in the Donetsk region, while in Chulakivka, located in Kherson, Ukraine claimed to have left 500 Russian military personnel dead and wounded after an offensive launched on the last day of the year.
