
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday the imposition of sanctions on 119 Russian personalities, including several celebrities and three individuals with Ukrainian citizenship.
The list includes singer Irina Allegrova – a Ukrainian citizen, TV presenter Zhanna Badoeva, singer Dimitro Bilan, presenter Dana Borisova and singer Oleksander Buinov.
It also mentions former Ukrainian footballer Anatoli Timoshchuk – a Ukrainian who continued to work as assistant coach of Zenit St. Petersburg after the Russian invasion -, singer Larisa Dolina, actor Dimitro Diuzhev, singer Victoria Daineko, actor Dimitro Jaratian and singer Pilip Kirkorov.
Decree 4/2023 explains that the proposal of the Security Service of Ukraine for imposition of economic sanctions and other restrictions on these persons has been approved.
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksii Danilov, will be responsible for the supervision and implementation of these sanctions, Ukrinform Ukrainian news agency reports.
The decree also urges the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to inform the competent authorities of the EU, the United States and other countries about these sanctions and restrictions in order to urge them to implement similar measures.
SATANISM In December Zelensky already imposed sanctions on thirteen clergymen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, including Metropolitan Luka of Zaporiyia and MElitopol and Metropolitan Panteleimon of Lugansk and Alchevsk that includes deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship.
This Saturday the Kremlin has called this measure «satanism». «And this in the middle of orodox Christmas! It is pure Satanism,» said the spokeswoman of the Russian Presidency, Maria Zakharova, quoted by the TASS news agency.
Other Ukrainian religious have been accused of treason, subversive activities or «spreading propagandistic theses among the faithful».
