The charity Legacy of War has suffered nearly 3,500 Russian cyber attacks since it put 50 silkscreen prints by street artist Banksy on sale through its website, the proceeds of which go to Ukrainian war victims.
«We are currently reviewing registered entries and will notify successful applicants shortly. Thank you for your support,» reads the page of the London-based NGO, adding that there are more than one million purchase requests.
Specifically, each Banksy silkscreen is worth £5,000 (€5,660) and depicts a white mouse tearing a cardboard box on which the label ‘Fragile’ can be read, the Guardian reported Tuesday.
Banksy, who has painted several graffiti in Ukraine, in places such as Borodianka, Irpin or Gostomel, put on sale these silkscreens last December 9. The organization’s CEO, Giles Duley, explained that the money would be used to buy heaters, gas generators and solar panels for the winter.
