Russian authorities said Thursday that they have imposed sanctions against 36 senior British government officials, several members of the military and journalists in connection with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has indicated in a statement that all of them have British nationality and are now included in the country’s ‘blacklist’.
The decision follows «the anti-Russian measures announced by the British government, which continues to actively apply the mechanism of imposing sanctions as it pursues its propaganda campaign to discredit the country and isolate it internationally,» the document states.
