More than 40 people have been rescued lifeless from the rubble of the residential building that was destroyed on Saturday by an attack in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, according to new balances that confirm the discovery of the body of a child on Tuesday.
The mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, has assured on Facebook that 44 people are already dead, while the Ukrainian Presidency has reported on Telegram at least 41 fatalities, including four minors, and 79 wounded, 16 of them children.
Ukraine has made this shelling an example of the abuses committed by Russia during the conflict, with expressions of regret also shared with its main international partners.
On the other hand, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied on Monday that the collapse was due to a Russian missile, claiming that Moscow never attacks civilian targets.
