Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday that the United States has organized a «coalition» with Western countries to «solve the Russian question» in a manner similar to Adolf Hitler’s «final solution» to exterminate the Jews.
«Just as Napoleon mobilized almost all of Europe against the Russian Empire and just as Hitler mobilized and captured, taking up arms most of the European countries against the Soviet Union, the United States has organized a coalition with almost all European countries, not only NATO members, for a war against our country through Ukraine,» he said.
Thus, he stressed that «the goal is the same: the final solution of the Russian question in order to make Russia suffer a strategic defeat», before denouncing that in Kiev there is «a Nazi police state with the blessing of the West», as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
Lavrov said that during the 2014 protests in Ukraine Western countries argued that the population should be able to choose whether to move closer to the West or maintain ties with Russia, although since then «those who chose wrongly or had historical, family or religious ties with Russia (…) have been excluded from political life, tried or killed, including journalists and politicians.»
In this sense, he has said that the United States lacks sufficient forces to confront Russia, so it is mobilizing other allies, also with the aim of containing the rise of China’s influence.
The Minister emphasized that the United States «has enslaved Europe, putting it totally at the service of its strategy of domination» and added that it is also trying to involve Japan and South Korea in these efforts.
For this reason, he stressed that relations with European countries «cannot be as before», before accusing the West of «lying to Moscow’s face» with the signing of the February 2014 agreement to try to put an end to the conflict in the Donbas region (east).
The minister has further argued that «it is impossible to deceive all the time» and «constantly move NATO to the east, contrary to the promises made.» «No one strengthens his security at the expense of the security of others,» Lavrov concluded.
