Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured that his country’s triumph over Ukraine is «inevitable», as Russian companies now produce as many missiles «as all the countries of the world put together».
«I have no doubt about it,» President Putin said confidently during a visit to the state arms company Almaz-Antey, from where he stressed the importance for Russia of missile production in a war context like the current one, in which Russian arms and ammunition factories have been working non-stop for months since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine.
On the same day, during a visit to St. Petersburg on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the triumph of the Soviet troops over the Nazi Army siege of that city, Putin once again insisted on describing the Kiev authorities as «neo-Nazis», recalling the praise they have dedicated to Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist allied with Adolf Hitler.
«Therefore, we have every reason to call the current Ukrainian rulers neo-Nazis,» said Putin, who in the coming days could announce a new mobilization of troops, according to speculation by Ukrainian intelligence services and other Western countries.
