The Venezuelan Armed Forces arrested on Wednesday two people accused of trafficking weapons and munitions of war in Ciudad Guayana, in the state of Bolivar, in the north of the country.
This was reported in a statement on the social network Twitter by the strategic operational commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez, detailing that the two subjects were moving in a public transport bus.
«Arrested 2 subjects in Bolivar state for trafficking war material. Only the State can possess and use weapons and ammunition of war,» Hernández Lárez has stressed in his missive.
In the course of the seizure, the Venezuelan Army has collected three cell phones and a knife, as well as ammunition for three and seven millimeter weapons, as reported by the newspaper ‘Primicia’.
The public transport unit has been guarded and the subjects have been taken to a detachment of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), in the Puerto Ordaz district of the city of Ciudad Guayana.
