Authorities in Russia’s Belgorod region, bordering Ukraine, reported Friday that they have again extended until February 4 the terror alert in the area.
The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has indicated that the alert remains «yellow» and will remain so for at least another two weeks, as he has indicated in his Telegram account.
This allows the authorities to take additional measures to ensure the safety of the population from possible threats, although the measure is framed within the framework of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The region in question has been under attack since the war began almost a year ago. The terror alert dates back to April 2022, when it was first established.
