The speaker of Russia’s State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, said Sunday via his Telegram channel that delivering offensive weapons to Kiev will lead to a «global catastrophe.»
«Given the technological superiority of Russian weapons, foreign politicians making such decisions should understand that this could end in a global catastrophe that would destroy their countries,» Volodin announced via a message on Telegram.
In addition, Volodin warned that if Washington and NATO member countries supply weapons «that will be used to attack peaceful cities and try to seize our territories» it will lead to a «retaliation with more powerful weapons.»
Volodin finally stressed the role of the governments of Germany and France, as well as other European parliaments, in «being aware of their responsibility before humanity».
