Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky on Tuesday predicted that Russia is gathering «forces» to execute its «revenge» and again called for support from its partners so that «the terrorist state» loses, a month before the one-year anniversary of the start of the war.
Zelenski’s statements took place on Tuesday in Kiev during a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart, Sauli Niinisto, to whom he conveyed what Ukraine needs from its partners: «modern Western tanks».
Along these lines, the two leaders discussed the creation of a new platform to supply this type of vehicle to Ukraine, which for several weeks has been demanding from its partners the delivery of German Leopard tanks, for which it first needs the prior authorization of Berlin, which is resisting.
Zelenski has made the security of Ukraine, and therefore of the European continent, conditional on the construction of a stable Army, for which reason he has once again demanded more support from his allies in this war. «It is very important to be on our side because it is the side of truth», he said, according to the Ukrinform agency.
«We have talked about Finland’s participation in this coalition of countries that can provide modern Western tanks. We thank them for their support, such a contribution to the victory is very important for us,» Zelenski said about the country that by now has already allocated 590 million euros in aid.
