Norwegian authorities said Thursday that they plan to offer specialized training to more than a hundred Ukrainian Army personnel in the run-up to the spring months.
The Norwegian Minister of Defense, Bjorn Arild Gram, explained that these soldiers will receive training at a military base in the province of Trondelag, according to the newspaper ‘Dagens Naeringsliv’.
This is not the first time Norway trains Ukrainian soldiers. A small group previously moved to Norwegian territory to assist in the development and delivery of military equipment to the country.
«What is new now is that we in Norway offer the Ukrainian military specialized training related not only to military equipment,» the minister asserted, stressing the «strong support» given to the Ukrainian forces by the Nordic country.
