Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba reported Thursday about a meeting in the Czech Republic’s capital, Prague, comprising up to 20 foreign powers and at which they will discuss the creation of a special court to try Russia for the war in Ukraine.
«Today, Ukraine gathered representatives of 20 nations in Prague for a meeting of the Core Group on the creation of a Special Court for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine,» Kuleba said.
In a post on his official profile on the social network Twitter, Kuleba stressed that the 20 or so countries gathered in Prague have as their main goal «to focus on ways to achieve justice.»
Likewise, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavsky, for offering to host a meeting that he described as a «crucial event».
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, Andrei Kostin, reported early last December that some 20 countries had initiated a process of investigations and evidence gathering on war crimes committed by Russia against its neighboring country.
