The new demonstration this Saturday against the judicial reform proposed by the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began with a minute of silence for the victims of the latest attacks in East Jerusalem.
«Last night’s murderous attack in Jerusalem breaks our hearts. We share the pain and grief of the families of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded,» the organizers said in a statement reported by ‘The Jerusalem Post’.
«Tonight there will be demonstrations on Kaplan Street and in other parts of the country in a special format. They will begin at 7 p.m. with a minute of silence,» they explained.
The leader of the opposition, Yair Lapid, has announced that he will not attend the Haifa demonstration, as planned, out of respect for the victims of the attacks.
