Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski – PRESIDENCIA DE UCRANIA

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky announced tonight during his daily address the imposition of a total of 185 sanctions, 182 companies and 3 individuals, supporting Moscow.

The main target of these sanctions are companies and entrepreneurs who have transported military personnel and materiel by rail on behalf of the «aggressor state». These include Belarusian companies that participated in the transport operations.

«Their assets in Ukraine are blocked, the available property will be used for our defense. And we will work to ensure that other countries apply a similar blockade,» the Ukrainian leader added.

In addition, Zelensky has also thanked all the allies who have helped to strengthen sanctions against Russia, as well as the investigators who have exposed the ways used by the Russian state to circumvent punitive measures.

The president has also reiterated his request to exclude Russia from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, for which he has reportedly sent a letter to the main international sports federations for their opinion on the decision of the International Olympic Committee, which is considering readmitting Russian athletes.

«If Russian athletes appear in international competitions, it is only a matter of time before they start justifying Russia’s aggression and using the symbols of terror,» he added.

Regarding the latest Russian attacks, the president has reported two fatalities and 14 wounded after a Russian missile bombardment of residential buildings in Kostiantinivka, Donetsk region, and called for military assistance from the West and longer-range missiles.
