Russian authorities have claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a «provocation» in the Kramatorsk area, allegedly attacking hospitals and then accusing Russian troops of committing «war crimes», in line with previous warnings for which Moscow offers no evidence.
According to the Russian center coordinating humanitarian care in Ukraine, the «Kiev regime» wants to destroy a hospital, a detoxification center and clinics for cancer patients, with the aim of pointing the finger at Moscow to denounce the shelling of civilian areas.
The Russian authorities have said they have intelligence information that accredits the arrival in Kramatorsk, in the Donetsk region, of agents of the Security Service of Ukraine, accompanied by Western journalists, as reported by the TASS news agency. According to this version, the centers targeted by the attacks have already evacuated their staff.
Moscow believes that Kiev uses such «provocations» to «increase the pressure of public opinion» in Western countries, so that their governments feel more obliged to respond positively to the demands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and send more weapons.
