Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky on Monday delivered to Parliament two bills to approve the extension of martial law and «general mobilization» because of the Russian invasion.
The bills submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, with registration numbers 8419 and 8420, provide for the extension of both measures for a period of 90 days from February 19, according to the parliament’s website.
Ukraine adopted martial law and introduced a state of «general mobilization» on February 24, 2022, hours after the start of the Russian invasion. Following this, these measures have been extended a total of five times to date.
