Russian authorities on Tuesday announced the arrest of four suspected members of the Islamic State jihadist group in operations carried out in the capital, Moscow, and the city of Krasnoyarsk.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said the detainees are members of a cell of the jihadist group that carried out tasks of recruiting and sending militiamen to «combat zones», as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax.
Thus, he stressed that the suspects also sent money to finance the activities of the Islamic State in Syria, while making calls for the execution of attacks.
During the raid were seized propaganda materials of the jihadist group, as well as communication and electronic equipment for carrying out «illegal activities». At the moment there are no details about the identity or nationality of the suspects.
