
Philip Morris International posted full-year 2022 attributable net income of $9.048 billion (€8.410 billion), down slightly by 0.7 percent from earnings of $9.109 billion (€8.467 billion) in 2021, the company said.
Revenues came in at $80.669 billion (€74.984 billion), down 1.9 percent from $82.223 billion (€76.428 billion) in the previous year. Of these, smoke-free products now account for 32.1 percent of turnover.
Taxes and production, marketing, administrative and development costs fell by 1.2 percent to 68,423 million dollars (18,141 million euros).
In the fourth quarter alone, net profit reached 2,397 million dollars (2,228 million euros), compared to 2,093 million dollars (1,945 million euros) a year earlier, up 14.5 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, quarterly revenue was $20.031 billion (€18.619 billion), down 3.8 percent compared to revenue of $20.83 billion (€19.362 billion) in 2021.
«We start 2023 as true pioneers in the global smoke-free market, with two leading smoke-free brands such as IQOS and ZYN,» said Jacek Olczak, CEO of Philip Morris International. For this year, the company forecasts revenue growth of 7 percent to 8.5 percent.
