The Government of China has denounced that part of the alleged US balloons detected in the last year flew over the regions of Xinjiang and Tibet, two territories where US authorities have denounced human rights violations.

Beijing has assured that in the last year it has detected more than a dozen violations of its airspace, an accusation flatly denied by Washington and which is part of the escalating dialectic over the shooting down of flying objects in the United States and Canada.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Wang Wenbin, has provided Wednesday at a press conference some more details about the alleged balloons and has warned again that the Government of the Asian giant reserves the right to take measures, although without giving details, according to Bloomberg agency.

«China strongly opposes and will take measures against U.S. entities that have violated our sovereignty and security,» said Wang, who has claimed to journalists the «legitimate rights and interests» of Beijing.

Joe Biden’s administration has shot down four aerial devices in the past two weeks, although it has only confirmed Chinese involvement in one of them. Washington maintains that it was a spy balloon, while Beijing claims it was only for scientific purposes.
