One of Donald Trump’s top advisers when he was at the helm of the White House, Stephen Miller, testified again Tuesday before a Washington grand jury about his conversations with the former president about the assault on Capitol Hill that took place on Jan. 6, 2021.

His appearance comes after several courts indicated that both he and other former Trump advisers must testify about what they remember of their respective conversations with the New York magnate in relation to the incident starring, precisely, by a mob of Trump’s own supporters.

It is expected that Miller will also have to address the conversations he had with the former president about the presidential election now that the grand jury is analyzing the evidence collected by a special commission of inquiry into what happened, according to information from the CNN television network.

Miller’s appearance has prompted new rallies outside the courthouse, a pattern that has been repeated for weeks in connection with the matter. Last month, the judge overseeing the grand jury’s work prevented Trump from shielding his presidential communications to avoid further investigation, which has led witnesses like Miller to be called back to testify.

The former adviser also had to testify in November before this grand jury, but refused to answer some questions about the possibility that Trump tried to shield the contents of some of his conversations during his tenure.
