U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday questioned reports of an alleged Ukrainian attack on the Russian presidential headquarters and said that, »like everything that comes out of the Kremlin,» it should be treated with caution.
The head of the American diplomacy has thus avoided »validating» the Russian accusations. We just don’t know,» he said, during a meeting organized by the newspaper »The Washington Post» and in which he called not to »comment or speculate» without knowing »the facts».
The Kremlin has denounced a drone attack and has pointed out that such action, which it attributes to Ukraine, was aimed at assassinating the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian authorities have already disassociated themselves from this incident, fearing that Moscow could use it as an excuse for future action.
