The leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has called Russian leaders who threaten to use nuclear weapons in response to the attempted drone attack on the Russian presidential palace, the Kremlin, the «clowns».

»The use of nuclear weapons in response to a drone, of course, is out of the question (…). We look like clowns who threaten with a ‘forceful bomb’ in response to a drone of children,» said Prigozhin, one of the main allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Thus, the head of the Wagner Group — a paramilitary organization that defends Russia’s interests in Ukraine — has advocated »finding out how it could have happened» the attempted attack on the Kremlin, according to his official Telegram channel.

Prigozhin has also advocated »doing everything possible» for Russia to become »the leading power» in the development and manufacture of UAV technologies.

The Russian presidency on Wednesday accused Ukraine of launching an attempted attack on President Putin using two drones to target the Kremlin. Some Russian voices then advocated responding forcefully against Kiev and even »physically eliminating» its president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
