Police in the city of Moscow, in the U.S. state of Idaho, have located the lifeless bodies of four students in a residence near the university, but no further details have been released at this time.
Security authorities have pointed to the possibility of a case of homicide, so the University management has sent an alert for students to take refuge in a safe place or away from the university campus.
Police Captain Tyson Berrett has stressed that there is still an «ongoing investigation», so he has not reported on the causes of death, nor has he confirmed the age or sex of the victims, according to NBC News.
Initially, the police had gone to the student residence to respond to a call alerting of an unconscious person. When the officers arrived on the scene «they discovered four people who had died,» according to the agency in a statement.
«The Moscow Police Department expresses our sincere condolences to the family, friends and the Moscow community,» remarked Captain Berrett. The university has canceled all classes scheduled for Monday.
