Polish authorities said Wednesday that they have decided to increase the number of Border Guard troops to reinforce their posture following the fall of a projectile that left two dead in the east of the country.
The spokeswoman of the entity, Anna Michalska, has pointed out that the employees «have realized that the situation requires a thorough analysis and information of all kinds to deal with alarming events,» as reported by the PAP news agency.
Earlier, Michalska herself had noted that the Border Guard had had to suspend controls at all border crossings for several hours as a result of the Ukrainian closure.
The Polish President, Andrzej Duda, ruled out on Wednesday an «intentional attack» against his country following the explosion that killed two people and suggested that it could have been an accident.
