Pro-Russian authorities in Kherson, located in the south of the Ukrainian territory, have denounced the alleged execution of at least a hundred civilians by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the capital of the region.
According to Oleksander Malkevich, advisor to pro-Russian governor Volodimir Saldo, the Ukrainian army is also allegedly responsible for the disappearance of at least 200 arbitrarily detained persons.
Malkevich has informed TASS agency that the Kherson region is allegedly the scene of an alleged recruitment of Ukrainian military, Security Service agents and foreign mercenaries to form social cleansing groups.
According to the advisor, the main objective of these groups would be the mass detention of civilians in order to later try to exchange them for Ukrainian soldiers captured by Russian forces in the framework of the war.
