The European Union has funded and equipped a center to respond to cyber threats in Ukraine, as part of the support to the Ukrainian Army under the European Peace Facility.
The center, inaugurated this Friday in Kiev, is accompanied by security software and hardware for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and, despite having been agreed last year, comes at the height of the Russian offensive in Ukraine.
With this support, Ukraine will be able to further develop the cyber defense capabilities of its armed forces to detect intrusions into information systems, deal with cyber attacks and strengthen its overall capacity in the area of cybersecurity, the EU Council has stressed.
The cybersecurity lab will provide a training environment to train and strengthen practical skills of military threat defense professionals with realistic virtual scenarios and real-time simulations, which help identify, monitor and protect against future cyber-attacks faster and more effectively.
