At least two people have been killed in an armed attack in the Honduran town of El Progreso, in the department of Yoro, in the northwest of the country, according to local authorities.
The dead people, a father and a son, were inside a car wash when they were attacked with a firearm, according to the newspaper ‘Tiempo’.
The young man died instantly, falling to the floor of the business, while the father lost his life while being transported on his way to a medical center.
For the moment, the motivation behind the incident is unknown, reason for which the Honduran Police has opened an investigation. Police officers are also investigating whether this shooting could be related to the armed attack that took place a few days ago also in a car wash in the area and which left two young people wounded.
