Saudi Arabia has confirmed the dispatch of two aircraft loaded with 168 tons of humanitarian aid destined for Ukraine which is already at an airport in Poland near the Ukrainian border.
The material carried by the planes, the official SPA agency has detailed, includes materials for shelters, electric generators and medical supplies.
The country has thus fulfilled the agreement signed in October, in which it promised to send aid worth 400 million dollars (375 million euros), following talks between the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and the Ukrainian President, Volodimir Zelenski.
Previously, Saudi Arabia delivered $10 million (9.4 million euros) in aid for Ukrainian refugees in bordering countries, especially Poland, in coordination with the Polish government and the United Nations.
