Russian authorities have reported that the Army has managed to intercept and shoot down three missiles over the city of Belgorod, which is located on the border with Ukraine and is under terrorist alert following the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.
The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has indicated that several fragments of the alleged projectiles were subsequently detected and fell on a populated area.
Thus, a minor was slightly injured due to a broken glass, while several houses were damaged, as he explained in his Telegram account, although he did not give details about the origin of the missiles.
Both he and the authorities of the Bryansk and Kursk regions have repeatedly warned of attacks perpetrated from the Ukrainian side against these areas. The mayor of Belgorod, Valentin Demidov, said that the residents of the damaged houses will be able to move to a hotel.
In this regard, the authorities have launched repair work in at least eleven residential buildings on Wednesday. »Basically there are damaged windows and roofs, as well as vehicles that have also been damaged,» Demidov pointed out.
