An Indian Air Force pilot has been killed and two others seriously injured during air training maneuvers over the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The incident, the air force reported on its Twitter account, took place Saturday during a routine training operation over the town of Gwalior, where the airbase from which the planes took off is located, and involved a Sukhoi Su-30 and a Mirage 2000.
«One of the three pilots involved suffered fatal injuries. An investigation has been ordered to determine the causes of the accident,» the Air Force confirmed on its account on this social network.
The authorities have not yet specified whether the incident was caused by a mid-air collision or any other factor.
