The French Presidency «welcomes» the decision confirmed Wednesday by the German government on the dispatch of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, as it considers that it reinforces the heavy armament already committed by France in recent days.
The Executive of Olaf Scholz has announced that it will authorize the shipment of 14 Leopard 2 and that it will endorse the governments of other countries which also have these tanks and wish to redirect them to Ukraine.
For Paris, «the German decision prolongs and amplifies» the French decision on the delivery of the French-made AMX-10 RC, according to Elysée sources quoted by BFM TV and Franceinfo.
